Oh, woe is me!

I had to top up the brake reservoir a couple of weeks ago, though I could see no signs of a leak. Until yesterday!

hydraulic reservoir empty, and no brake pedal, luckily I was on the drive. I lifted the parcel shelf, and it was immediately apparent where all the fluid had gone…… all over one of the new floor panels. The leak was simply a loose union. I filled the reservoir, bled the brakes, and decided that as the pedal pumped up, the rear brakes needed adjusting. So I jacked up the car, and put it on wheelstands, immediately spotting where the rest of the fluid had gone….. All over the beautifully painted chassis. Brake fluid is an excellent paint remover. So i got on with adjusting the drums, and then managed to snap an adjuster. All good fun, eh?
